Installing Guy Guards

How to Install Guy Guards / Guy Markers

Installation of the guards/marker is usually completed over an existing or previously installed guy wire or wires. This allows for installation of the guy marker after the guy wires have been completely adjusted to the right tension for the particular installation. Our guy guards with stainless steel wrench down bolt are easy to install and can be locked down over the existing guy wire.

Each guy guard is typically installed to start immediately after the cable termination (dead end, clamps, splice, etc.) and extend upwardly on the guy wire for 96” and is installing the wrench down clamp on the high end  of the guy marker creates a tamper proof assembly, and discouraging and unauthorized disassembly.

Below are some typical guy system layouts for trees, utility poles, high ropes courses, challenge courses, zip line towers, cell towers, antennas and windmills.
